Nam June Paik Art Center (NJPAC), Yongin (KR)

Profile and mission (during the preliminary study (Re-)Viewing Paik): SangAe Park participated as a field partner in the preliminary process (2021–2022) of selecting the artworks by artist Nam June Paik from the NJPAC collection and archive, for digitization and digital exhibition purposes. It resulted in the development of a digital exhibition prototype that directly served as origin for the Paik Replayed research. The updated research results are shared with Dr Park and the NJPAC, especially before the symposium (in 2027), and at the end of the research.

Michael Chablais, computer science engineer

fabric | ch – studio for architecture, interaction and research, Lausanne (CH)

Profile and mission: Michael Chablais is graduated in computer science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL). He is also a member of the collective fabric | ch (https://www.fabric.ch), where he contributed to the co-development of an online exhibition platform. It has been successfully used by the collective for various projects, including those exhibited at Haus der Elektronischen Künste (HEK) in Basel, and Zentrum für Kunst und Medien (ZKM) in Karlsruhe.

As part of the Paik Replayed research project, the platform is likely to be adapted to the needs of the digital exhibition and the “Paik @Home” application – as indicated in the initial research documents –, and made available to the research team. M. Chablais is representing the field partner during the project, and is involved in the creation and dissemination of a digital exhibition created for the purposes of the project, as well as during the final symposium.
